Dear Girl Scouts San Diego Community –
Happy Women’s History Month!
Our annual Cool Women Celebration is right around the corner on Friday, March 14, and we can’t wait to honor five Cool Women honorees alongside our largest-ever class of 53 Emerging Leader Girl Scouts (grades 10-12). This beloved event is almost sold out, and registration closes today, Friday, March 7. Purchase your tickets today at sdgirlscouts.org/coolwomen.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported this year’s Girl Scout Cookie Program—from our volunteers, parents, and caregivers to staff and community partners. With adult support, our Girl Scouts are growing skills, building confidence, and meeting their goals. Visit sdgirlscouts.org/cookies to learn more and find a booth near you before the program ends on Sunday, March 9.
I am pleased to announce that our latest annual report is here! From exciting programs to unforgettable outdoor adventures, every achievement in 2024 showcased the power of Girl Scouts San Diego and how together, we champion leadership, connection, and community. Read the full report at sdgirlscouts.org/annualreport to explore the highlights, success stories, and the incredible impact we made in 2024.
April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we look forward to uplifting our more than 8,000 volunteers who make the mission of Girl Scouting possible in San Diego and Imperial counties. Nominations for this year’s volunteer awards will open on Tuesday, April 1. Learn more about the awards on our website, and stay tuned during the month of April for other ways to celebrate the amazing volunteers in your life.
Looking ahead, it is going to be an exciting summer at Girl Scout Camp! Camp registration is open, and we are eager to welcome more than 2,500 campers to our four properties to “Embrace Possibility” this summer. Camp is the perfect place for Girl Scouts to be themselves, explore new environments, learn skills, and create lasting memories with friends, new and old. Find the perfect summer adventure at sdgirlscouts.org/camp. Financial assistance is available, thanks to our generous donors and corporate partners. Send a girl to camp by donating to the Campership fund at sdgirlscouts.org/give.
As always, thank you for being a part of this community and supporting our important mission. With your partnership, we are building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who are making the world a better place.
Yours in Girl Scouting,
Carol
