Operation Thin Mint℠ (OTM) is a local Girl Scout service project that originated in San Diego in 2002. This year with support from the community, Girl Scouts hit an impressive milestone of reaching a cumulative 4 million packages of America's favorite cookies and countless notes of support to deployed troops serving around the world, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa, Japan, Korea, and the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean.
To honor the Operation Thin Mint Program, our troops, our top 10 OTM Superstars, our Elite Cookie Entrepreneurs, family, and friends are invited aboard the USS Midway Museum for an exciting evening on the flight deck, featuring music, interactive booths, and a patriotic pep rally. This year's Operation Thin Mint Sendoff and Family Festival took place on Friday, April 14.
We celebrated shipping 4 million packages of Girl Scout Cookies since 2002 to deployed troops!
MORE INFOPrint blank OTM notecards, decorate, and return to any Girl Scouts San Diego office or resource center so we can send "notes to show we care" to deployed troops and veterans with shipments of OTM cookies. We collect notes year round.
