Let's get kind and crafty! Make the world a better place with the gentle power of art and using your voice. The term "Craftivism" was coined by writer and artist Betsy Greer. Betsy described it as "a way of looking at life where voicing opinions through creativity makes your voice stronger."  Girl Scouts are invited to get creative with textile arts, relax outdoors with a picnic under the trees, connect with your Girl Scout community and celebrate the start of a new Girl Scout year!

The crafting lineup includes message embroidery, mini banners, and Earth pom poms! Supplies provided with registration fee. Girl Scouts and caregivers are welcome to upcycle by bringing their own craft supplies to use and share with others.

  • Location: Balboa Campus Lawn
  • Bring your own snacks, blankets, and/or chairs.
  • Simple instruction for embroidery making and pom-pom making will be provided.

*This is not a drop off event. All Girl Scouts must be accompanied by their troop leader or caregiver.
