Challenge yourself on the challenge course! Try out activities* like the climbing wall, incomplete bridge, or vertical playpen. This session is not a certification. *Activities offered at the challenge course will be up to the facilitator's discretion. Please note: the challenge course has a 250lb limit due to the harnesses manufacturing guidelines.

Girl Scout Camp Traditions
Learn the songs, ceremonies, customs, and traditions that make Girl Scout Camp so meaningful. You'll discover the history behind these beloved camp experiences and gather ideas for sharing and creating traditions with your own campers.

Relax, hang out, and get to know other GSSD volunteers. This activity will be very chill, so come ready to chat!
Journal Making and Leather Stamping
Create a personalized leather-covered journal to remember your Adventure Weekend! Learn basic leather stamping techniques, customize your journal cover, and leave with a perfect keepsake for recording memories, reflections, and future adventures.
Knit a Nature Critter
Bring a woodland creature to life with yarn and knitting needles! Learn basic knitting techniques while creating a cute, small critter.
Knot Tying
Learn a variety of useful knots and the situations they are designed for. This hands-on session will cover practical techniques that are commonly used in camping, outdoor recreation, and everyday life.
Laughing Yoga
Try Hasyayoga—laughter yoga—an easy, endorphin-producing exercise routine that will have you giggling and feeling better all day! Take the techniques back to your troop for some serious silliness.
Orienteering
Using a compass and a map, explore Winacka's property. You'll learn how to orient yourself at camp and how to lead Girl Scouts in this activity.
Outdoor Cooking
Discover the fun of outdoor cooking while learning how to build and use a box oven. Explore simple cooking techniques, outdoor kitchen skills, and delicious recipes that can be prepared at camp or on your next outdoor adventure.
Swimming
Take a dip in the Winacka pool! Lifeguards will be on duty.
Target Sports - Archery
Take aim for the bullseye on the archery range. This session is not a certification.
Target Sports - Slingshots and Hatchets
Set your sights on the target as you try out slingshots and hatchet throwing. This session is not a certification.
Tea Walk
Explore the nature of Camp Winacka through a guided walk focused on edible and tea-making plants. Learn how to identify common species, discover their traditional uses, and gain a deeper appreciation for the resources found in nature.
Tree Planting
Learn about Girl Scouts San Diego's reforestations efforts, and join us in the greenhouse for tree planting.
Watercolor by the Lake
Enjoy the beautiful view of Upper Lake while you discover the art of free-form watercolor painting.
SWAPS
Learn about SWAPS ("Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere"), a long-standing Girl Scout tradition of creating and exchanging small handmade tokens. Make your own SWAPS to trade, share, and celebrate connections with fellow Girl Scouts while exploring ideas you can use with your own campers.
