Located in the northwest corner of Balboa Park, Balboa Campus is a ten-acre site that includes the Girl Scout staff administration office, Leadership Center and Florence Burnham Hall, Girl Scout shop, three levels with cabins and camping sites, fire pits, and more.

Welcome to Girl Scouts San Diego Balboa Campus Reimagined!
With input from Girl Scouts, families, volunteers, staff, donors, and Girl Scout alums, we are shaping a long-term master plan—a document that will guide how our Balboa Campus evolves over time to support Girl Scout programming and community needs.

The Balboa Campus Master Planning team is engaging with Girl Scouts of various ages to hear what is most important to them when thinking of the long-term master plan. Girl Scouts are being asked "core questions" to understand how they see the Balboa Campus. Here's what we are hearing:
Survey Results
The survey we distributed in February 2026 received 577 responses from current Girl Scouts, parents and caregivers, volunteers, alums, staff, and donors.
The top priorities for the Balboa Campus include:
- Modernize facilities while keeping campus character
- Expand programs for Girl Scouts of all ages
- Improve booking system for campus reservations
- Strengthen outdoor and overnight programs
- Enhance volunteer support and trainings
- Address campus accessibility needs
