April is OTM 20th Anniversary Month
We’re teaming up with our longtime community partner, the USS Midway
Museum, to observe two decades of our biggest councilwide service
project. The museum will feature an Operation Thin Mint anniversary
exhibit during April and provide free admission to current girl
members when they arrive wearing a Girl Scout uniform, vest, sash, or
Daisy smock. Watch this page and our social media outlets
(@sdgirlscouts) for details about how everyone can join in the celebration.
Operation Thin Mint℠ (OTM) is a local Girl Scout service project that
originated in San Diego in 2002. Since then, our Girl Scout troops and
their generous cookie customers have sent over 3.25 million packages
of America's favorite cookies and countless notes of support to
deployed troops serving around the world, including Afghanistan, Iraq,
Africa, Japan, Korea, and the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean.
See feedback from the troops.
During Girl Scout Cookie season, you can contact your favorite Girl
Scout or let us connect you with one to make an OTM donation.
