Operation Thin Mint

Operation Thin Mint℠ (OTM) is a local Girl Scout service project that originated in San Diego in 2002. This year with support from the community, Girl Scouts are on track to hit an impressive milestone of reaching a cumulative 4 million packages of America's favorite cookies and countless notes of support to deployed troops serving around the world, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa, Japan, Korea, and the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean.

To honor the Operation Thin Mint Program, our troops, and Elite Cookie Entrepreneurs, everyone (family, friends, troops, and more!) is invited aboard the USS Midway Museum for an exciting evening on the flight deck, featuring music, interactive booths, and a patriotic pep rally. This year's Operation Thin Mint Sendoff and Family Festival will take place on Friday, April 14.

OTM Sendoff
Help us send 200,000 notes!

Print blank OTM notecards, decorate, and return to any Girl Scouts San Diego office or resource center so we can send "notes to show we care" to deployed troops and veterans with shipments of OTM cookies. We collect notes year round.

"Grown men do cry! The Operation Thin Mint cookies brought back memories of home. With all our hearts, thank you for thinking of us."

Deanna Moore, Supply Officer, USNS PATHFINDER (T-AGS-60)

"Thank you for the cookies. It just feels like a little piece of home was delivered to us!"

LS1(SW/AW) Jennifer Workman, USN, USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74)
