Hit the mark with your Girl Scouts by learning how to safely lead
them in hatchet-throwing and slingshot. Discover basic techniques,
safety rules, range setup and commands, and helpful tips for coaching.
This class is for adult members only.
Successful completion meets Safety Activity Checkpoints and will
qualify you to rent Girl Scouts San Diego hatchet-throwing and
slingshot ranges for youth use (Cadettes and up).
What to expect:
- Please book classes carefully. We can only transfer your course one time. The same payment can't be transferred more than once.
- If you are sick, stay home.
- You will receive a course reminder email 5-7 days prior to your course date. Please review for more detailed information.

Upon completing this instructor training, you will be added to our High Adventure Expert List! Girl Scout San Diego volunteers may request this list when they need a trained hatchet-throwing and/or slingshot instructor and don't have one in their troop or service unit. Your information will only be provided to our background-screened volunteers. We subsidize the cost of certification to make it easier for instructors to say, "yes!" but you may opt out by request.
