Trip to Echo/ Aloha Lakes High Sierra Backpacking Trip July 17-23, 2026
Instructors: Myra Callen, Marilyn Sedlund
This trip involves backpacking in approximately 4 miles to base camp and doing day hikes around the area. This is an entry-level (relatively easy) backpacking trip.
Trip Elevation: Lake Tahoe: 6225 ft, Echo Lake: 7415 ft, Lake Aloha: 8120 ft. The hike to Lake Aloha is a well-travelled rocky trail that is moderate with two section of elevation gain, overall about 700 ft.
