Save the date for our annual fall event on Sunday, October 18, from 6-9pm. This hiker party is open for all experienced, brand-new, and future hikers! We welcome Girl Scouts 11 years and older and their adults to meet our hiking and backpacking volunteers for a night of fun, film, and friendship! Attendees will learn about the trips and courses planned for 2026.
Join us for Ice Cream Social from 6-7pm , with presentations taking place and guest speaker 7-9pm
Join us for an up close and personal presentation by Andrea Burgan and her animal ambassadors. Learn about "the locals" who live where we recreate. Andrea, the CEO, President, and Director of Critter Encounters has over 30 years of hands-on experience working with exotic animals, Andrea is deeply passionate about animal care, rescue, and humane education. Her journey began at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, where she was trained as both an educator and animal keeper through the Zoological Society of San Diego. Today, Andrea focuses on rescuing and adopting "tractable" exotic animals-those comfortable with human interaction-and sharing their stories through meaningful, up-close encounters.
