Evolution Basin is one of the prettiest places on Earth. This 36-mile moderate trip begins with a ferry ride across Florence Lake, then slowly climbs from 7,000' up to 10,000' to the Basin. We will make a base camp and have 2 layover days for hikes into the upper reaches of Darwin Bench, Muir Pass (12,000'), or around The Hermit, the iconic monolith that dominates Evolution Valley. This trip would meet the pre-requisites for Whitney, 2026.
