In challenging times, our Girl Scout grit shines the brightest. That’s why we’re prepared to be a source of consistency for you and your girl when you need it most. Now you can access the Girl Scout experience she knows and loves in a way she can enjoy right now.

While many of the things she was looking forward to are canceled, Girl Scouts is still happening. From home and online, for as long as she needs to, she can:

  • Keep the Girl Scout experience going and stay connected while earning badges through online activities with Girl Scouts at Home resources.
  • Participate in live virtual events and safe service projects that keep her engaged and inspired.
  • Gain tangible, innovative problem solving and life skills.
  • Grow confidence in her outdoor skills and learn how to be a champion for the environment.
  • Expand her imagination through hands-on STEM activities.

As things continue to evolve and change, we’ll continue to adapt to meet her needs until we can come together again.

Early Bird Renewal

Only picking up your Early Bird patch?

Ordering from the store and want to pick up your Early Bird patch?

  • To place your order, call the store at 619-610-0760, Tuesday-Thursday, between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or email store@sdgirlscouts.org.
  • Once your order has been finalized, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to schedule your 15-minute window curbside pickup time.
On-Time Renewal

Girls: Girls who renew their Girl Scout San Diego membership by Sept. 30 gain exclusive access to purchase a limited-edition Girl Scouts/Padres themed item.

Troops: Troops that renew two adults and 80% of their girls by Sept. 30 are automatically entered into our weekly Facebook Live (@sdgirlscouts) opportunity drawings in September. Our first opportunity drawing will be held on Tuesday, and the remainder are scheduled for Mondays. All troops who meet the criteria are eligible.

Opportunity Drawings:

  • Sept. 8: 12 Play It Safe virtual workshops, 1 annual Zoom account
  • Sept. 14: 8 Mystery Badge virtual workshops (supplies included), 1 annual Zoom account
  • Sept. 21: 6 Zovargo virtual workshops, 1 annual Zoom account
  • Sept. 28: 12 Code with Her virtual workshops, 1 annual Zoom account

Service Units: Service units that increase girl membership by 45% as of Aug. 1, 2020, or meet their girl retention goal on or before Sept. 30 will be eligible for a free annual Zoom account or $100 for your service unit.

Lifetime Membership

Lifetime membership is available to any individual who accepts the principles of the Girl Scout Movement, pays the one-time lifetime membership fee, and is 18 or older (high school graduate or the equivalent).

Lifetime membership dues are $400. A young alum lifetime membership is available (at the reduced cost of $200) to anyone between 18–29 years old who was a girl member at any time in her childhood.

How to Renew
Troop Changes: Leadership Change or Disbandment

Troop Leadership Change

If your troop is changing leadership next year, please contact us. We want to work with you and the new leaders to make the transition a smooth one. If you have any questions or need support, please contact our Customer Care team to be connected with your troop support specialist.

Troop Disbanding

If your troop plans to disband next year or you are unsure about continuing, please let us know. Our Troop Support team would love to talk with you about options for the troop, opportunities for individual girls who wish to continue in Girl Scouts, and alternative membership pathways. Please contact Customer Care to be connected with your troop support specialist.

Trouble Logging In?

Q: Why isn’t my username working?
A: Your username is typically your email address. If you have more than one email address, try each. You can also use the “Forgot Your Password?” link to send a reset email to your email address. If you’re still having trouble, contact your council’s Customer Care team.

Q: Why aren’t I getting the password reset emails?
A: The password reset emails come from gsusacustomercare@girlscouts.org, so please make sure it’s added to your safe senders list. If you requested the reset email before marking our email address as safe, check your spam folder. If you’re still not receiving the email, contact your council’s Customer Care team to verify that your username/email address is correct.

Q: How do I reset my password when I no longer have access to the email address associated with my account?
A: Your council’s Customer Care team can easily change your username/email address without requiring you to recreate your account.

Q: Why can’t I see my family when I log in?
A: There are a couple reasons this could happen:

  • Another adult family member may be listed as the preferred contact on the account. That person must log in to renew. Contact your council’s Customer Care team if you’d like to be listed as your household’s preferred contact.
  • You may have a second or duplicate account with a different email address. Try a different username. If that works, be sure to contact your council’s Customer Care team to merge the two accounts into one.

Q: Why can’t I see my troop(s) when I log in?
A: There are several reasons this could happen:

  • Troops are listed on a separate tab from your family. If you have more than one troop, look for the pull-down menu to change between them.
  • Check your member profile to make sure you’re listed as a volunteer in the troop.
  • Not all troop volunteers can access the troop tab. Check with your council to see which volunteer roles they allow to access the tab.
  • If your background check has expired, you may lose access until it is up-to-date.
