Early Renewal Incenvite: Girl Scouts San Diego service units that reach 50% of girls renewed AND 50% of adults renewed into roles by Sunday, May 31, 2026 will receive a $300 program stipend.
The Girl Scout membership year runs from October 1 to September 30. Annual membership dues* are $65 for girl members and $30 for adult members.
Membership Dues Adjustment*
In October 2024, more than 800 delegates from across the country convened virtually to discuss, debate, and decide on our collective path forward at the Special 57th National Council Session.
Our National Council engaged in robust and constructive debate regarding two proposals to increase annual dues for girl and adult members, delegates ultimately voted to raise girl membership dues to $65, which will be phased in over the next two years.
Girl membership dues will be $45 for Membership Year (MY) 2026 and $65 for MY 2027. Adult dues are $30, effective MY 2026.
This investment provides the opportunity to implement initiatives that will have a lasting impact on the Girl Scouts, volunteers, and families we serve. Financial assistance is available.
California Assembly Bill 506 (AB 506)
All troop leaders and assistant troop leaders must comply with California Assembly Bill 506 (AB 506) before renewing membership. AB 506 requires youth service organizations to develop and implement child abuse prevention policies, including background checks and mandated reporter training.
