All troops start with the same core ingredients: five or more girls and two unrelated adult volunteers, one of whom is female. From there, each troop adds in their own unique ingredients to make the flavor all their own! Some troops have girls all from the same school and grade level, while other troops have girls from multiple schools across several different grade levels. Troop leaders are volunteers and might be moms, dads, grandparents, or from the community.

Troops
Join a troop and you’ll always have something to look forward to! You’ll get together with your friends to do a variety of activities based on your grade level. Some things troops do are: play games and sing songs; learn new skills, go on field trips to museums and nature centers, and explore the outdoors. Your troop decides!

Many troops add girls until they reach the troop standard of 12 girls, while other troops go above and beyond welcoming in 15, 20, or even 30 girls into their troop! Each troop leadership team determines when, where, and how frequently they meet as well as what types of activities they will complete throughout the year.

as you learn to do all
kinds of fun things—like paint pictures, camp out, make jewelry, go
geocaching, create inventions, conduct science experiments, plant
gardens, and oh, so much more.
Whether you get together once a week or once a month, you’ll find yourself counting the days until your troop meeting—and the fun continues!
