For the 11th year, USS Midway Museum will welcome Girl Scouts, friends, families, cookie customers, VIPs and military troops aboard its fabulous venue for an exciting free event to celebrate sending the 2015 Operation Thin Mint® cookies to deployed military troops. (See press release.)
Enjoy live music, girl activities, and photo opportunities, and cheer on Girl Scouts' top cookie sellers as they arrive by helicopter.
Each Girl Scout will receive a star patch and a mini U.S. flag.
Attire: Girl Scout uniform, T-shirt or pin with sash/vest; patriotic attire or military uniform.
Service project: You may bring non-perishable food for the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank to distribute to families in need.
Free parking: Enter the Navy lot at Pacific Highway near West G. St.; bring driver's license, car registration, and proof of car insurance.
Access: The museum is wheelchair accessible and close to bus, trolley and train stops.
