At a Glance
- Discover what your community needs
- Review the Cadette Guidelines and decide to work solo or team up with up to 3 fellow Girl Scout Cadettes
- Choose a project that excites you and creates lasting change
- Plan how you’ll make a difference
- Take action and make it happen
- Submit your final report to Girl Scouts San Diego with your troop leader’s approval
- Spread the word about your impact, reflect, and celebrate your achievement
Prerequisites for a Girl Scout to earn the Silver Award:
- Be in sixth, seventh, or eighth grade
- Be a registered Girl Scout Cadette
- Have completed one of the following: the Bronze Award, a Cadette Leadership Award, or a Cadette Journey

Final Report
Once your hard work is complete, meet with your troop leader and any troop members who completed the project with you to reflect on everything you’ve accomplished. When you’re ready, submit your final report to the council using this form.
Silver Awards are troop leader–approved, so it is up to your troop leader’s discretion to review and sign off on your submission within the form.
