Girl Scout Gold Award
By earning the Girl Scout Gold Award—the highest award a Girl Scout Senior or Girl Scout Ambassador can earn—girls join the ranks of generations of young women who have made a difference in their communities both locally and globally. Girls must be in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade and a registered Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador to earn their Gold Award.
During their leadership adventure girls will:
- Complete two Journeys (Senior or Ambassador) including earning the journey awards, or complete one Senior or Ambassador Journey if they’ve already earned the Silver Award
- Select and recruit a volunteer team and a Project Advisor who will offer help and guidance
- Take the lead as they take action on a community issue they care about
Suggested minimum hours: 80
Final report deadline: April 1 of the year girls plan to attend the annual council-wide ceremony, or September 30 of the year girls graduate.
