Join the Veterinary Specialty Hospital team in this dog and cat blood
drive event in Sorrento Valley! This annual blood donation drive will
help dogs and cats in San Diego in desperate need of blood. During the
event, Girl Scouts will help check in donor cats and dogs, enjoy tours
of the VSH, learn what it's like to be a veterinarian, enjoy pizza,
and win prizes!
Girl Scouts are encouraged to bring their pet
dog or cat to the event to sign up to be a blood donor.
* Dogs
must be between 1 - 7 years old and over 55lbs and in good
health.
* Cats must be between 1 - 7 years old and over 10lbs
and in good health.
* All donor dogs and cats will receive a
free initial exam with a critical care specialty veterinarian and
examinations before all blood donations.
* Girl Scouts are not
required to bring a pet. This is optional.
Badges/Patches: Girl Scouts of all ages will earn
steps toward their age-level-specific animal/pets badge. Girls also
receive a special Veterinary Specialty Hospital patch! Patch is
included. Badges are not included.

Note: This is a NON-DROP-OFF event.
Adults will stay with their Girl Scout for the entire duration of the
event. Adult registration is not required.
This event takes
place from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., in which Girl Scouts are invited to
attend anytime during these hours.
