Girl Scouts San Diego is partnering with Feed the Need, an organization that serves the homeless and low-income population of Imperial County. From Dec. 1-14, Girl Scouts can earn a free patch by donating an item which includes shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, razors, shaving cream, floss, lip balm, toothpaste, toothbrush, bodywash, body lotion, and baby wipes. To also help with their Back-to-School Distribution, they are accepting new adult size socks, new adult size underwear, and individually packaged snacks. Girl Scouts can drop-off items at Brawley Feed the Need, 147 M. 8th St., Suite B, Brawley, 92227, during the hours of operation (Mon-Fri, 9-11 a.m.). Prior to drop-off, call 760-623-1055 to let staff know you will be dropping off as the building is locked and there is no buzzer to notify staff there is someone outside.
