Save the date: Friday-Sunday, Sept. 11-13, 2020

Camp Exec is our premier weekend leadership camp for Girl Scouts in grades 10-12 and high-level professional women from San Diego. During Camp Exec 2019, a powerhouse team of mentors shared their knowledge and advice with girls while enjoying the great outdoors at Camp Whispering Oaks. Throughout the weekend, girls practiced social and business etiquette and learned to network and develop a personal brand.

For Execs

Ready for an experience of a lifetime?

As a Camp Exec mentor, you will spend a life-changing weekend in the mountains near Julian at Camp Whispering Oaks connecting with other women and mentoring high school Girl Scouts.

Exec expectations for the weekend:

Mentor the high school Girl Scouts in your group by providing advice on careers, educational pathways, and how to overcome obstacles.
Work with your team on camp challenges and group activities throughout the weekend.
Enjoy the camaraderie of other professional women in your heated cabin at Camp Whispering Oaks.

Girl Scouts will provide all meals, activities, equipment, and staff support so you can focus on enjoying the weekend.

There is no fee for participation.

Session example: Dreaming Your Future

In an informal setting, adult campers share their most profound career experiences and their "Aha!" life lessons with girls.

For Teens

Join a class of like-minded young women from across San Diego to learn, listen, and share your dreams with some of San Diego’s accomplished women professionals. Throughout the weekend, these women will hold unique, collaborative sessions, then gather with you around the campfire to talk about how they got where they are now. Plus, they’ll hear your hopes for the future and help you map your pathway there.

On Friday, you’ll meet your squad: a small group of female professionals and fellow mentees who share your strengths and are invested in your growth. Together, you’ll grow leadership and career skills in a camp setting. In addition to squad time, you’ll practice social and business etiquette, projecting a positive image, developing a personal brand, and networking, as taught by the pros. Highlights include our high ropes course and all your favorite camp activities!
