The largest portion of your shop spending stays right here in our council when you shop at our brick-and-mortar stores. If you can't stop by to say "hi," be sure to shop online at our GSSD digital storefront.

Curbside Pickup Instructions

We offer curbside pickup at our Balboa and Escondido campuses. Please read and follow the directions below so we can provide you with the best service and protect your health and safety, as well as that of our staff. Your cooperation, patience, and understanding is greatly appreciated.

How It Works

Place your order Tuesday-Thursday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Simply call the shop 619-610-0760 Tuesday-Thursday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. or email store@sdgirlscouts.org at any time. With the high volume of orders that are coming in please allow a 48-hour window response time. Once your order is complete, shop staff will contact you for payment and set up your curbside appointment.

Pickup times are available in 15-minute increments

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Balboa
  • Wednesdays, 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. at Balboa
  • The second Friday of each month, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Escondido
  • The fourth Saturday of each month, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Escondido

 Text us when you arrive, stay in your car and we will come outside to meet you.

When you arrive to pick up, please arrive at your scheduled pickup time to help maintain the safest environment for you and our team. When you arrive for your curbside pickup, text: NAME HAS ARRIVED to 619-610-0760. Please follow all directional signage and safety cones. Remain inside your vehicle at all times and a face covering must be worn the entire time. A retail associate will come outside to greet you to deliver your order. When our staff member approaches your car, please pop your trunk or roll down your passenger side window (if you do not have a passenger in your car) and your order will be placed in your car.

Unfortunately, at this time we will not allow customers into the building for any reason. When you arrive to pickup your prepaid order:

  • At Balboa, enter thru the gate at Upas Street.
  • Follow signs to drive towards the north side of the administration building.
  • You will not be able to park. This will be drive-thru pickup.
  • To maintain social distancing, your purchase will be given through your passenger side window or we can place the purchase in the trunk of your vehicle if you are able to open and close your trunk without exiting.
  • After receipt, follow signs to exit through the gate on Upas.
  • Be sure to be wearing a face covering when we make our delivery.
  • Note, GSSD facilities are closed. Restrooms will not be available for use.
  • If you need to reschedule your pickup time email store@sdgirlscouts.org.

Disclaimer: This is definitely not business as usual for us and there will likely be kinks in the system. We appreciate your patience while we all learn a new way of business. As we are all working within the COVID-19 safe re-opening guidelines, pickups and inventory may change.

Curbside FAQs

How do I place an order with GSSD? Call the shop Tuesday-Thursday 10 a.m.-3 p.m. or email store@sdgirlscouts.org. We are accepting email order requests 24/7. We will contact you by phone the following Tuesday through Thursday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to complete and confirm your order. Do not include credit card information in your email. Payment will be taken over the phone.

How often is GSSD processing orders? We are processing orders and payments Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

What forms of payment are you accepting? At this time, we are only accepting credit card purchases over the phone. No cash, checks will be accepted on site.

How do I schedule my pickup? You will receive a confirmation email with a link to our scheduler. Select your 15 minute time slot and you will receive an email confirmation.

How do I let you know that I have arrived? You will text ARRIVED WITH YOUR NAME to 619-610-0760.

What days are pickups available? 
Balboa Campus-Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Wednesday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. 
EPC Campus-2nd Friday and 4th Saturday of the month, 10 a.m. -3 p.m. 

Can I pick up from any of the three locations? We now offer curbside pickup in both Balboa and EPC campuses on select days. 

Can I apply Cookie Bucks to my order? Yes! We are accepting cookie bucks as a form of payment, be sure to mention if you will be providing them at the time of pick up or if they are being held in shop.

Can I pay for my order at the time of pickup? No. As of right now we are only accepting credit card payments via phone confirmation.

Can I do an exchange at the time of pickup? Yes! Please be sure that all exchange items are in their original packaging and allow some extra time during your curbside appointment for our team to review and process the exchange.

Are there shipping options available? Yes! GSSD is still offering $5.00 flat rate shipping on all items ordered directly through the shop. GSUSA has their own shipping rates and will be posted directly on the https://www.girlscoutshop.com site. 

Can I still place an order for fun patches? Yes! You can view the Advantage Emblem Catalog. Email store@sdgirlscouts.org to see the availability and to place your order of the patch.

What if I need to reschedule my pickup time? Please text or call us at 619-610-0760 to reschedule. You can also email store@sdgirlscouts.org

Starting Friday, Feb. 12, our Escondido Program Center will offer curbside pickup on the second Friday and the fourth Saturday of every month, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
