Technology Goddesses Workshop - High Tech, High Adventure
Girls will learn how to use smart phones and computers to support active outdoor lifestyles. A variety of applications and websites will be demonstrated, such as Google™ Constellation to map the night time sky, to view maps and track runs and hikes: use of GPS technology to track geocaches, and the use of geotagging to link photos with the location on earth where the photo was taken. Guidance on Internet safety will also be provided. This workshop will include hands-on instruction and a sleepover, as well as the girls leading a Junior workshop. Cadettes will earn Netiquette and Night Owl badges; Seniors and Ambassadors will earn requirements for appropriate advancements.
