Description: Camp Winacka is located in San Diego County near the mountain town of Julian. It is comprised of 625 acres of varying terrain in the Cuyamaca Mountains with two small lakes, cabin and rustic camping facilities. Warm and dry during the summer, can be cold and snowy during the winter, camping at Camp Winacka affords the opportunity to experience the four seasons.

Description: Whispering Oaks Program Center is located in San Diego County near the mountain town of Julian. It is comprised of 58 acres of varying terrain in the Cuyamaca Mountains with cabin and tent camping facilities. Warm and dry during the summer, warm days and cool nights in the spring and fall; it can be cold and snowy during the winter. Camping at the program center affords the opportunity to experience the four seasons.

Balboa Program Center

Description: Located in the northwest corner of Balboa Park, the Balboa Service Center houses the resource center, council executive staff, the business support staff, the council shop and meeting rooms for trainings and other functions. Situated on the upper level of a ten-acre site known as Balboa Center, the building is surrounded by trees and grass. Also on this level is a campfire circle, the property manager's residence and Florence Burnham Hall, a facility for large group meetings, trainings and special events. Entrance gates to each camp level are located on Richmond Street. Both winterized ledges and grounds for tent camping are available for troop or group camping as well as for larger service unit events. Levels are secured through tall fencing and locked gates.

Escondido Program Center

Description: Located in the heart of Kit Carson Park, the Escondido Program Center offers a range of services to North County volunteers as well as an additional camping site for the council. Best suited for troop or group camping and day camping, the building is winterized for beginning camping, and the grounds behind the building offers space to tent camp. The facility is secured through fencing and locked gates and is patrolled by the local police department.

Palomar Mountain Service Center

Description: Located in San Diego County with a view of the famous Palomar Observatory. The council's newest 200-acre site consists of rolling terrain, a marshy meadow and beautiful oak and conifer forests. Plenty of opportunity for hiking and exploring. The higher elevation of this site increases the possibility of snow and cold nights in the winter. Warm days in summer with occasional thunderstorms.
