Properties
Girl Scouts San Diego's three mountain properties (Camp Winacka, Camp Whispering Oaks and Palomar Mountain) and two program centers (Balboa Campus in Balboa Park and Escondido Program Center in Kit Carson Park) are available for troop and group encampments, as well as resident and day camp. For more information, view the
property descriptions here, or take a look at the
Balboa Campus Activities brochure. We also have a list of
volunteer/service project opportunities on our properties.
2011 Major Project List
The Property Department is very pleased that when the 2011 budget was approved, it included much needed repairs for Cabin 1 and 2 at Balboa, Escondido Program Center, Winacka and Whispering Oaks. We have compiled a
list of the projects for the year with the expected schedule.

Camp
Girl Scout camping is for every girl, and every girl should have a chance to go to camp! Camping helps girls learn new skills, meet friends and develop a deep appreciation for nature and the world around them.
Whether camps last for a day, a week, or longer, they allow girls to grow, explore and have fun under the guidance of caring, trained adults. Girls attend day and resident camp with a buddy or on their own. All girls – Girls Scout members or not – are welcome at Girl Scout camp.
