Instead of taking pre-orders and then delivering cookies later, girls sell actual boxes of cookies door-to-door starting as soon as the cookies program begins. How does our council spend proceeds?
How will troops use their proceeds
In 2009 1,778 local troops earned an average of $1,267 by participating in the cookie program; 154 troops earned more than $2,500! Troops used the money to do service projects and activities, attend camp, and travel to places such as Washington D.C., Europe, and Savannah, GA (birthplace of Girl Scouts).
