Cookies 2010
The Cookie Program is one of the most effective and popular ways Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character. Girls learn the importance of responsibility, the value of goal setting, the spirit of teamwork, and the thrill of accomplishment. Through the Cookie Program girls develop business and leadership skills, connect with others, improve our local communities, and earn funds to enjoy Girl Scout activities.
 San Diego's lemon cookies are fine!
Our Girl Scout cookies are not included in a quality withdrawal of Lemon Chalet Cremes.
The few batches involved were delivered primarily to locations east of the Mississippi.
NOTE: This situation is not a "product recall," because there are no potential health issues. The cookies in question are completely safe for consumers to eat. From now through March 14, more than 15,000 local Girl Scouts will pull "cookie mobiles" (carts and wagons filled with cases of cookies) through their neighborhoods. This new, one-step Cookies Now! system lets customers buy and enjoy their treats immediately, rather than pre-ordering and waiting for delivery. And, starting Friday, February 19, girls will sell cookies at booth locations through San Diego.
