Caps for Chemo Workshop in North County
Cadettes from Troop 1016 of Carlsbad invite all program levels to help them help others through a Caps for Chemo Workshop. Participants will learn how to crochet hats and how they can help those in San Diego with cancer. The American Cancer Association of San Diego will give patients the hats as part of their Look Good Feel Better program. Girls will complete the requirements for the Stitch It Right Try-It, Yarn and Fabric Arts Badge or the majority of the Women's Health IP, and will receive the badge at the workshop.

Healthy Scouts Workshop
Take a trip down the Highway to Health at the Junior League of San Diego's Healthy Scouts Workshop. Girl Scout Juniors will take part in fun, interactive activities and learn about making healthy life choices.

Thoroughly Modern Millie Workshop
The Valhalla High School Theatre Arts Program presents their spring musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie, in conjunction with a special Girl Scout workshop. Girl Scouts will experience behind-the-scenes show preparation, a backstage tour, stage make-up demonstrations with hands-on practice, a hands-on tour of the light and sound booth and more. There will be a pre-show question and answer session as well as photo opportunities with the cast and crew.

A Festival of Puppetry
Events and activities include performances for all ages, a puppet exhibit in the lobby and puppet films. On Saturday, March 27, 12-5 p.m., enjoy a variety of shows, mask and puppet making activities, and a giant puppet parade.

San Diego Civic Youth Ballet (SDCYB) presents Cinderella
See this magical fairytale unfold on stage, set to music by Prokofiev, at a special discounted performance just for Girl Scouts. Watch Cinderella and her fairy godmother waltz to the royal ball in a horse-drawn carriage. Beautiful fairies and enchanting animals make this ballet a joy for all. Girl Scouts will take photos with some of the lead characters and get autographs during a 30-minute meet-and-greet following the performance.

Planning a trip, or need help getting started? HI-USA has created a special workshop just for Girl Scouts, to help girls prepare to travel responsibly and safely. Topics include trip planning, packing, budgeting, safety, cultural awareness and more.
Cultural Kitchen
Explore world cultures right here in San Diego! Cultural Kitchen is a program created by HI-USA that engages youth in a cross-cultural experience. Through hands-on activities and a visit to the HI-San Diego hostel, girls will:
- Explore cultural identity and cross-cultural understanding
- Learn about a country of their choice
- Work together to cook an international meal and share it with travelers
- Experience San Diego from a traveler's perspective
Hostelling International staff and volunteers work with troops to facilitate the first session and provide support throughout the program. Please allow 3-5 troop meetings to complete all activities prior to the hostel visit.

Yoga Fun 4 Girl Scouts
Introduces yoga in a fun way. Yoga sequences include music, partner poses, relaxation, breathing, positive affirmations and creative visualizations. Yoga fosters awareness, self-esteem, empathy and relaxation. Girls will create their own positive affirmation cards to take home. Price includes use of yoga mats and props.
