Tongues Untied: Healthy Relationships
Saturday, November 21 Balboa Campus
Ever wish you could talk to your parents about dating without them freaking out? Can you explain the qualities that are important to you in a friendship? Do you know what to do if you think a friend may be in a harmful relationship or it feels like nobody ever listens to you?
This interactive event will bring girls and adults together in a unique forum to explore these topics and others in a hands-on format. Staff and professionals will help guide the discussion and activities, allowing everyone the chance to share their point of view and ideas and walk away with tips and resources for building and maintaining healthy relationships. Participants will complete some of the Conflict Resolution Interest Project requirements.
Note: In order for this event to be successful, each girl participant must have an adult she feels comfortable with register with her. All girls must bring a signed sensitive issues permission form, provided with the event confirmation.
