Playful Paws
San Diego Humane Society and SPCA
Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes are invited to practice their leadership and community service skills by participating in the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA's new Girl Scout program - Playful Paws!
Before arriving at the San Diego Humane Society, girls receive an assignment to work together to create behavior enrichment items for adoptable animals. Items may include special toys or activities for pets to play. This will also address community service needs, as well as practice in leadership by working together to decide which items will best serve the society's adoptable animals.
During this 60-minute program, girls interact with an animal, take an Adoption Gallery tour, do age-appropriate activities, and receive a Playful Paws Patch. Program fees help our adoptable animals.
