Girl Scouts partner with Microsoft for Online Safety
To address the dangers that exist in cyberspace, Girl Scouts of the USA and Microsoft teamed up to create an online safety campaign.

LMK ("Let Me Know") is a forum for internet safety experts and teen peer advisors to provide guidance about cyberbullying and identifying/handling dangerous online situations.

In addition to an interactive Web site for teens, LMK includes an e-newsletter and Web site designed to give parents timely guidance and to help families have open conversations about cyberspace dangers.

Written by teen girls, the newsletter keeps adults in the know about topics that interest young people. Subscribers learn about texting, IM, social networks and computer security features, and receive tips and tools to keep their families safer online

LMK's Mission LMK was created by Girl Scouts and Windows to give parents the skills and knowledge they need to help keep their families safe online, and to empower girls to become leaders of safe and responsible use of technology. Join us and learn how we can make the internet a safer place for girls and adults.
