National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend
Join us Friday-Sunday, Feb. 7-9 as we share how the Girl Scout Cookie Program impacts local girls … and our community. There’s so much more to Girl Scout cookies than what’s in the box — girls learn skills they can apply to everyday life, like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. They also make the world a better place by using their earnings to fund community service projects in neighborhoods near and far. Celebrate with us during National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend.
French-trained chef — and former Girl Scout — Karen Krasne of Extraordinary Desserts has created three special sweet treats: Thin Mint® Crème Brulee, Samoas® Chocolate Pot de Crème and Hot Fudge Sundae with Tagalongs® Ice Cream. Get them at Extraordinary Desserts’ Balboa Park and Little Italy locations only during National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend. See press release.
Follow @sdgirlscouts, @girlscouts and @MomItForward on Twitter to join our online girls’ night out on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 6-7 p.m. Answer cookie questions, focusing on the 5 Skills and financial literacy, in preparation for the big weekend ahead. #gno #cookieboss
Cookie locator app
National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend coincides with the start of booth sales on Friday, Feb. 7. Spread the word about the cookie locator — available online and as a mobile app — so potential customers can find the cookie booth nearest them.
Earn the National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend patch
Girls can commemorate their participation with a fun patch, available online or in our council shops. They could try some of the activities above, or create their own with their troops!
