Troop tips to help your re-registration process go smoothly
Hold an "end of the year" party. Include parents and guardians so they plan the upcoming year and complete forms on the spot. Also a great opportunity to enlist parents as volunteers!

Reconnect with your Membership Coordinator or school Troop Organizer to add new girls and alleviate the waiting list.

Suggest girls use part of their cookie money for registration dues.

Ask each parent to make a contribution to the SHARE campaign. Remind them that SHARE donations help provide Girl Scout programs and facilities to girls in San Diego and Imperial counties

Tips for recruitment events
Dedicated adult volunteers help girls participate in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, so make sure you include plans to recruit leaders.

  • Reach out to all underrepresented communities.
  • Don't re-invent the wheel - talk to your service unit, your membership coordinator or find more recruitment ideas here

Incentives

Service units get 50% off one service unit encampment when they hold at least one pre-approved recruitment event and achieve at least a 70% girl renewal by Wednesday, June 30th, 2010. Renewal is based on the total number of registered 2010 membership as of April 15, 2011.
