Girl Scouting places a high priority on providing safe spaces for girls to share their feelings with adults. To assist Girl Scout troop leaders, parents and other adults helping children cope with recent local tragedies, Girl Scouts, San Diego-Imperial Council will host a forum. While the forum is free and open to all adults, reservations are required.
Childhood bereavement specialist and licensed clinical psychologist Lori Rappaport, Ph.D. will discuss how children experience loss and fear, how to identify when they're grieving, and how to discuss death and grieving with children.
