Family Camps (He and Me / She and Me)

Girl Scouts experience all the fun of camp with their registered Girl Scout adult. Choose between "He and Me" or "She and Me." Enjoy fun nature, team-building and craft activity choices, a campfire and hearty meals. New this year: Older Girl Scouts can register as "Camp Crew," spending part of the day participating in activities, and part of the day helping the camp counselors with activities.

Program: With the guidance of girl planning, participants will get a snapshot of the camp experience through a variety of arts and crafts, team-building and nature activities. Archery (4th grade and up) and Challenge Course (2nd grade and up) may be available, weather dependant. Participants earn a Camp Adventure Weekend Patch. What is provided: Program activities, meals, lodging, resident camp staff and supplies. All Family Camps run from 7 p.m. Friday, to 1 p.m. Sunday, plan to stay for the duration of the event.

Lodging:

She and Me lodging is in modern cabins with girls and adults sharing cabins. Cabin assignments will be made at random based on age, and buddy requests can not be accommodated.

He and Me lodging is in rustic cabins. Hes stay in cabins near to camper cabins. Counselors supervise camper cabins at night. Cabin assignments will be made at random based on age, and buddy requests can not be accommodated.

Transportation: You must provide your own transportation to and from Camp Whispering Oaks or Camp Winacka near Julian.

Registration: Participants selected on first-come, first-served basis. Deadline for registration is one month before the event, but these weekends typically fill up three to six months in advance. Please note special needs such as food allergies on the registration form. This program is a full weekend commitment; plan to stay Friday evening through Sunday mid-day. Cost is $40 per person. Full payment due when registering. $25 is non-refundable once confirmed.
