Recruitment Resources

If you're a troop volunteer looking for girls (and adults!) to join you, or a membership recruiter promoting Girl Scouts throughout your community, we want to help you spread the word and invite new girls to experience the fun.

Below, find resources for your recruitment efforts, from promoting a service unit or troop event to hosting a fun Girl Scout Information Session to help start new troops (with the support of your service unit team and our staff members, of course).

Thank you for extending Girl Scout opportunities to more girls in your community — you’re making a difference in the lives of girls!

One of the best ways to recruit new girls is to open your troop on the Opportunity Catalog. Want to open your troop, or know someone else who does? Troop leaders and co-leaders can fill out this form to be opened on the Catalog right away.

Recruitment guides

Hosting a Girl Scout recruitment event is a great way to help new girls and families join the fun, and we have the tools you need to make your event a success. Whether you’re opening a service unit event up to new girls, increasing visibility at a school or community event, or hosting a Girl Scout Information Meeting, these guides can take you from the planning stages to the day of.

Flyers and marketing materials

Use these flyers and social media banners to promote recruitment events and increase Girl Scout visibility in your community.

Event resources and tools

Our Recruitment Presentation Script will help you prepare to speak to interested families at your event, or any time you field questions about Girl Scouts. Coloring sheets and puzzles give girls a fun activity while you talk to adults. Remember to collect sign-in sheets so we can follow up with interested families.

Please connect with your Regional Recruitment Specialist after your event to share sign-in sheets and updates.

Recruiter training

Whether you’re an adult who’s just learning about all the great opportunities Girl Scouts provides, or a long-time troop volunteer who wants to change girls’ lives on a larger scale, we appreciate your help in promoting Girl Scouts and recruiting new members!

Membership recruiters are our points of contact in schools or communities, welcoming potential members and sharing info about Girl Scouts at events.
