Volunteer Conference and Celebration

All adult members are welcome at our annual Volunteer Conference and Celebration. Join us for a full day of empowering sessions and an evening awards ceremony where we honor our volunteers.

Conference: General session, lunch and workshops
During the morning conference, network, participate in interactive leadership workshops (read session descriptions), enjoy lunch, shop special deals at the Girl Scout store, and compete for the Spirit Stick.

Stay for the evening celebration to sit down for dinner with your Girl Scout friends and applaud our outstanding volunteer honorees, nominated for awards by their peers.

Wendy Hovland-Henry is a communications strategist for NV5, a consulting firm specializing in benefits to the environment and communities. She is also an award-winning voice-over actor who lends her voice and image to videos, films, corporate narrations and commercials. She leads Cadette Troop 2191 in the Blue Sky Service Unit.

Keynote speaker

Wendy Urushima-Conn, Girl Scout alumna, is President and CEO of the Asian Business Association, San Diego. ABA provides a strong voice on business, cultural and political issues of interest to San Diego’s Asian and Pacific Islander community. Wendy, a Cool Woman of 2017, is married with two Girl Scout daughters.

More than 500 volunteers joined us for VCC 2016 at the San Diego Convention Center (see photos). Congratulations to Blue Sky Service Unit for taking home the Spirit Stick!
