Design Code Build is collaborating with Girl Scouts to develop a video game featuring characters based on Girl Scout Cookies! The game will appear on the web, iTunes App Store and Google Play, and you get to help make it.

Learn every aspect of game development, from design to code to marketing, during summer programs — offered at no cost, thanks to Kickstarter support from the developer community worldwide.

Summer programs

Create a game level for Marshmallow Run! Focus on game design while developing your group's contribution to the game (you can attend as a troop). Choose from a variety of programming languages, including Scratch, JavaScript, Swift and Java. Spaces in these free programs are filling quickly!

Once you complete the week, you may purchase a Design Code Build triptych patch to go with the round Marshmallow Run workshop patch.

Ages 7-17: You can also join a Design Code Build morning program (9 a.m.-noon at the same location; supervised lunch and activity period noon-1 p.m.) for a full-day STEAM experience. Use the code GIRLSCOUT2017 for a $150 discount; register with siblings for an additional $50 discount.

Coming from far away? Design Code Build has reserved single and double occupancy dorm suites at UCSD, so Marshmallow Run campers and their troop leaders or parent chaperones can stay overnight. Includes meals and RA supervision. Learn more.
