Intro to Girl Scouts 02/24/16
Prerequisite: Getting Started With Your Troop
All new adult volunteers who directly support girls must take the Introduction to Girl Scout Program class. An integral part of the Core Leadership Series, it’s also a handy refresher course for more experienced volunteers. Learn how to work with girls and parents, conduct meetings and fill out paperwork. You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the Girl Scout vision, program and activities, as well as the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, and see how all program resources work together to help build girls of courage, confidence and character.
For more program ideas, take an Age Level Training course, with specific information on the age level you’ll lead. A Journeys Made Easy session will provide guidance on customizing the Journey experience with your girls. Do you need more leader support? Attend a New Leader Meet-Up. Dates, times and locations can be found in the Age Level Training and Enrichment sections of this catalog.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to request the online training Getting Started With Your Troop if you have not yet been invited.
