Cabin 3 Naming Opportunities

See the Turko files video series about the rebuilding of Cabin 3.

About Cabin 3

Now complete, the cabin on Level 3 of our Balboa Campus will be used by more than 5,000 girls and adults each year for day camps, trainings, events and overnight camping stays. It replaces a much smaller, 52-year-old cabin that was closed in 2012 because of structural and electrical issues.

The two-story, 2,800 square-foot structure is outfitted with state-of-the-art technology and a commercial grade kitchen. It features fire-resistant cement siding and metal shingles, wrap-around veranda, great room with indoor/outdoor fireplace, and a sleeping loft with skylights and window seats. Two of the cabin's restrooms are accessible to visitors using the adjacent fire ring and Adventure Zone, which includes an archery range, ADA-accessible tree house, 40-foot climbing tower, balance platform and traverse wall.

Thank you for helping us build it together, San Diego! Contribute to the Cabin 3 building fund and help us continue to keep Girl Scouting exciting and relevant for today’s girls!
