At the Adventure Zone on Level 3 of our Balboa Campus, girls test their courage and build confidence in a safe, supportive environment. They'll challenge themselves with team-focused games, complete problem solving initiatives and attempt low elements, all under the leadership of certified staff. Current 4th graders (Girl Scout Juniors) and older can tackle the 40-foot climbing tower.

What is the Adventure Zone?
The Adventure Zone course is a combination of logs, platforms, ropes, games, and activities. Each group’s session at the course is designed with progression in mind: Certified facilitators start with ground games and initiatives before graduating to activities and elements which involve some physical or emotional risk. When sharing individual successes and setbacks with a supportive team, participants gain self-esteem and practice working successfully in a group.
Who can participate?
Current 2nd graders (Brownies) and older can participate in all ground and low-element activities.
Current 4th graders (Juniors) and older can participate in all activities, including the climbing tower.
If you have a mixed-age group that includes at least one Brownie, the entire group will participate at the Brownie level in order to maintain team spirit. Group activities will be tailored to include the youngest participants, and the group will not go on the climbing tower.

Troops and groups can choose from the following sessions:
Two-Hour Sampler Session — For current 2nd graders (Brownies) and older
Includes all ground activities and low elements. (May include the TP Shuffle, Don't Rock the Boat, Traverse Wall.)
$80/up to 15 participants; $40/additional 1-10 participants.
Four-Hour Session — For current 4th graders (Juniors) and older
Includes all ground activities, low elements, and the 40-foot climbing tower.
$180/up to 15 participants; $80/additional 1-10 participants.
All participants must commit to the entire designated time period. This gives participants the best leadership and team building opportunities plus new found confidence and team spirit!
Who are the facilitators?
Our certified facilitators include both Girl Scout staff and volunteers who have completed a 40-hour training course and participate in ongoing trainings. In order to ensure you the best experience, each facilitator has been chosen for their abilities in working with groups and is skilled in tailoring activities specific to your team's needs.
