G.I.R.L. Agenda

girl a·gen·da / noun / gərl ə’jəndə

A nonpartisan initiative to inspire, prepare, and mobilize girls and those who care about them to lead positive change through civic action.

Inspire. Prepare. Mobilize.

Our time is now.

This is our moment to come together, lift our voices, and take action on issues that matter to girls. Today is the day we unite to build an even brighter future for all of us.

Be a catalyst for change in your community—and the world. Champion your views, influence leadership, and advance the G.I.R.L. Agenda to make the world a better place.

Step up. Stand up. Get involved.

Follow the GSUSA civic action toolkit appropriate to your age to become a change agent (5-12), community advocate (13-17) and/or civic champion (adults) as you take action on issues YOU care about!

  1. Get informed: Discover issues that you’re passionate about. Knowledge is power!
  2. Get moving: Choose an issue and then connect with others in your community. Doing some research can help ensure you make a real difference.
  3. Do something: Plan a project and take action!
  4. Let your voice be heard: One voice is great — many voices become a movement. Educate and involve others in your cause! Complete this form to share your story with us for a chance to be highlighted on our webpage and in our social media.
  5. Learn more: Join our advocacy interest list to hear about opportunities to become civically engaged with Girl Scouts San Diego.

Email media@sdgirlscouts.org if you have more to share! We always love to hear from you.
