DASHboard Road Safety Patch
It may come as a surprise to many that traffic crashes are the number one cause of death among teens. Moving vehicles pose more of a threat than guns, suicide or disease. Mile for mile, teenagers are involved in three times as many fatal crashes as all other drivers, and hundreds of thousands of teens are injured in traffic crashes each year.
For the above reasons, Girl Scouts San Diego, in partnership with GEICO, has created the DASHboard Road Safety Patch Program for Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. The program addresses a variety of road safety topics - everything from distracted driving to car maintenance to road safety careers.
