RENEWING THE PROMISE: Girl Scouts in a New Century

For a few days this November, the history and the future of Girl Scouts will meet in Houston, Texas. With 100 years to celebrate and a new century ahead, we can guarantee that the 2011 National Council Session will surprise you, inspire you, inform you, and energize you as never before.

Here are some of the highlights:

Our "Conversations of Consequence" panel discussions will illuminate the state of girls today and the roles we can all play in making 2012 the Year of the Girl.
A dozen different seminars provided by Girl Scouts University will equip Girl Scout professionals, volunteers, and parents with new skills for a new century.
Many of America's most accomplished women will be on hand to inspire us, including Yolanda Adams, Katie Couric, Marlee Matlin, Soledad O'Brien, Houston Mayor Anise Parker, and Robin Roberts.
This year's National Young Women of Distinction will show us what the next generation of leaders can accomplish. We know they'll change the world because they already have.
