Award-winning, bilingual journalist Elizabeth Alvarez anchors the most-watched morning shows in San Diego — KUSI's Good Morning San Diego on Saturdays and Sundays. The former Brownie was born and raised in Southern California and graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Journalism. Elizabeth has covered some of the biggest stories to make national headlines, including the ambush of the 507th Maintenance Company in Nasiriyah, Iraq during the 2003 invasion, bringing viewers up-to-the-minute information from the Fort Bliss army post.

During our annual Volunteer Conference and Celebration, all adult members are welcome to join us for a full day of empowering sessions and an evening awards ceremony where we honor our volunteers. See this year's honorees!

Carpool in a group of three or more for free parking. No need to indicate your carpool buddies when you register; you'll receive a voucher with your confirmation materials in mid-August.

During the morning conference, network, enjoy lunch, engage and learn in leadership workshops (read session descriptions), shop special Girl Scout store deals and compete for the Spirit Stick.

Elaine Swann is one of the leading lifestyle and etiquette experts in the country. She is the founder of Elaine Swann Leadership Academy, an institution committed to enriching the lives of individuals through the instruction of etiquette and social courtesies. Operating from a desire to help others “be well and live well,” the Girl Scout alumna authored Let Crazy Be Crazy, a book that emboldens readers to face difficult people and challenging circumstances, and Girls Have Style … At School!, an etiquette book for teen girls.
