Check out the fun from 2017

More than 650 volunteers joined us at the San Diego Convention Center for our annual day of learning and networking followed by an awards ceremony. Congratulations to our 2017 honorees (listed below…and cheers to the Otay Mesa Service Unit for taking home the Spirit Stick!

About the Spirit Stick

The Spirit Stick was salvaged from Girl Scout mountain properties following the wild fires of 2003. It now serves as an award acknowledging the most spirited service unit attneding our annual Volunteer Conference and Celebration.

The winning service unit—selected for displaying a "fire of imagination and exuberance of heart"—is invited to keep the Spirit Stick for a year to bring to Girl Scout events, mark it with their service unit name, add adornments, then return it next year to present to the next guardian!
