Ways to Camp

All girls welcome
If your camper’s not yet a Girl Scout, no problem! Any girl entering grades K-12 can attend; non-members just add $25 to regular camp fees to cover the annual cost of membership.

Weekend Campouts

Our weekend campouts offer a taste of camp. Experience Winacka and Whispering Oaks with your troop, try an overnight at our Balboa Campus, or bring a special grownup to our She & Me and He & Me events.

Encampments

Connect with other troops in your community. Every service unit puts its own spin on encampment, with fun themes and activities. Contact your service unit to see if something’s in the works. Encampment directors, visit our resources page.

Troop camping

Get back to nature with your troop. Go tent-camping, or tuck yourselves away in a cabin at Winacka or Whispering Oaks when our camp programs aren’t in session (learn more!) At least one leader must take the appropriate outdoor training before you go. First time camping with your troop? Try one of our staff-supported Get Outside! weekends (more info coming soon). You can sign up for staff led activities designed to make troop camping simple!

Summer day camps

Enjoy all the fun of summer camp without spending the night. At day camp, girls get a taste of camp, make new friends and work toward badges. Each day camp features a program theme with specialized activities. Open to all girls entering grades K-12.

Summer resident camps

At our summer resident (overnight) camps, girls learn about science and space, the environment, hiking, canoeing, leadership and much more! Open to all girls entering grades 1-12.

Make camp possible

Thanks to generous donations, we can provide financial assistance to girls in need, subsidize camp fees for all girls and provide high-quality programs at top-notch facilities. When you make a gift to Girl Scouts, you help us keep camp running!
