Great for first-timers and experienced campers alike, Adventure Weekends provide a well- rounded sampler of the camp experience. Activities include arts and crafts, teambuilding, outdoor skills, and nature/science activities. Meals, activity supplies, and modern lodging are provided. Prerequisites: Troops must have already completed an overnight with their troop, and at least one leader must have completed camp training and current First Aid/CPR certification. Brownies from across our council will camp together as they express their creative sides, participate in team building activities and engage in guided nature activities. Overnight accommodations in modern lodges, breakfast, lunch and all activity supplies included. Troops provide their own dinner on the first night. Girl Scouts experience all the fun of camp with their adult "He" (a registered Girl Scout dad, uncle, stepdad, brother, etc.). They'll discover nature and enjoy teambuilding and arts activities, campfires, skits and hearty meals. Accommodations are rustic, and campers sleep in girls' cabins accompanied by camp counselors adjacent to their "He's" cabins. Venture off to Camp Winacka for a weekend of fun and friendship in the great outdoors. Weekend activities are inspired by the seasons, but always include teambuilding, outdoor adventure, creative arts, and nature/environmental exploration. Upon arrival, troops customize their camp experience by choosing their own activities. Please specify Modern and Rustic accommodations at the time of registration. Zap, you're in charge of your own life! Welcome to Winacka Town, a miniature city where you'll be assigned a job, a salary, and a neighborhood when you arrive. Work at your job, and spend your earnings on activities like arts classes and the archery range. Will you be the mayor? The sheriff? A gardener? Or will you be on a job search? Hone your budgeting and collaboration skills as you explore hot topics like inequality and social justice in this exclusive event just for girls in grades 6-12.
