Daisy Introduction to Girl Scout Program, Part 2
On Thursday, April 18, 6-9 p.m. at the Escondido Program Center, get in-depth information about Journeys, activities and traditions for girls in kindergarten and first grade. Register online. Prerequisite: Daisy Introduction to Girl Scout Program, Part 1 or the general Introduction to Girl Scout Program class.

Explore Junior troop management on Thursday, April 25 at the Escondido Program Center or Monday, May 13, at the North County Service Center, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Get tips and tricks for keeping fourth- and fifth-graders interested in Girl Scouts and giving them more responsibility for planning activities. Cruising into Cadettes
Find out what middle-school girls are capable of, Monday, April 22, at the North Coastal Service Center, Thursday, May 2 at the Escondido Program Center, or Wednesday, May 29, at our Balboa Campus, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Learn to transition to a supporting role in girl planning and discover the exciting opportunities available for older Girl Scouts. OTM Sendoff Celebration includes Midway tours, free parking
Come aboard the USS Midway Museum on Saturday, May 4, 9-10 a.m. for our Operation Thin Mint® Sendoff Celebration. Meet emcee Delana of STAR 94.1 and KUSI reporter Brad Perry; cheer on top cookie sellers as they arrive by helicopter; and enjoy a skydiving show, live music, activities and Midway tours. Show your spirit with Girl Scout and patriotic attire, and bring a nonperishable food item to help military families in need. It’s Your Planet – Love It! Journey trip to SDG&E
Juniors, register by Friday, May 3 for a GET MOVING! Journey side-trip to the SDG&E Energy Innovation Center. On Saturday, May 18, 9 a.m.-noon, learn about “green” buildings and kitchens, sustainability, and environmental stewardship during this hands-on adventure. Girl Scout campout at Petco Park
Attend the San Diego Padres vs. Toronto Blue Jays game on Friday, May 31, 7:10 p.m., and stay after for a campout on the field! Clean up San Diego

Doggie day
On Saturday, April 13, 8-9:30 a.m., join new community partner Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) for emBARKadero, a four-legged 4K run/walk. Proceeds help CCI provide trained dogs and other support to people with disabilities. Entrance fee: $25/adult, $10/child. Register online. Run/walk for sustainability and conservation

Gold Award: April office hours
Seniors and Ambassadors can meet with Gold Award Committee members to discuss the program and ask questions in a casual environment. Tackle a new sport
Save the date: Saturday, May 11, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. is the Women’s Football Academy. SDSU men’s coach Rocky Long, other coaching staff and players will teach football basics to adult women and girls in grades 9-12. Women’s basketball coach Beth Burns will discuss female athletes. All proceeds benefit Girl Scouts San Diego’s Live Healthy, Lead Healthy initiative. Cost of $30 includes breakfast, lunch, T-shirt, gift bag and two tickets to the home opener SDSU football game. Come backstage with Seussical, Jr.
Broadway Theatre Arts Academy invites Daisies-Ambassadors to a backstage tour at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido, 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27 or noon Sunday, April 28.
