“Girl Scouts played an important role in Chelsea’s life from a very early age, and I had the great joy and privilege of being a Girl Scout troop leader. Girl Scouts is where Chelsea first learned that her voice mattered and that she could make a difference.”
– Chelsea King’s mother, Kelly
Dear Girl Scouts,
I’m thrilled to announce that Girl Scouts San Diego is teaming up with Chelsea’s Light Foundation for the 4th annual Finish Chelsea’s Run on Saturday, March 1. Our two organizations share a common vision of recognizing and supporting young people who will make the world a better place.
Transitioning from holding our own New Day 5K to this exciting new partnership will allow our Girl Scout families to become familiar with the foundation’s excellent work.
Please see an important message of introduction below from Chelsea's parents, Kelly and Brent King. And watch for details about opportunities for student ambassadors, teams and virtual teams, volunteering, a patch, and a T-shirt design contest.
— and see you March 1!
